Consumer Reports has just released their annual reliability rankings, and finding show that each brand outperformed last year's showing. Competing automaker, Blue Oval, by comparison, took a very clumsy fall.

Chrysler Groups' most sporty brand, Jeep, rose seven places in the ranking year-over-year, securing the honorable 13^th rung. Among the models credited with Jeep's leap is the Grand Cherokee. But, the Grand Cherokee certainly didn't do it alone. Oh no... Jeep didn't just climb the reliability ladder. Consumer Reports acknowledges them  as the most reliable American brand out there... And, that kind of recognition reflects the lineup as a whole.

How does Consumer Reports determine vehicle reliability? Well, they survey a vast array of car owners, analyze responses and crunch a lot of numbers. For this year's survey, over one-million people responded, providing valuable feedback on all different 2002-2011 makes and models. The value of the information isn't limited to industry experts either. Driver's often use the report's findings to help decide which car to buy.
