Meet Marlene: 2024 Walser Intern in the Business Development Center

At Walser, we believe in empowering the next generation through hands-on experience and meaningful mentorship. This summer, we are excited to introduce Marlene, a talented intern who is making her mark in our Business Development Center (BDC).

Marlene’s Role and Journey

Marlene joins us as a Phone Specialist, a critical role within the BDC where she is mastering the art of customer communications, service appointment scheduling, and follow-ups. These skills are vital for ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the high standard of service our customers expect.

Her journey with Walser is made possible through Walser’s NextGen College & Career Readiness Internship program. The program creates pathways to career readiness and employment through Walser Automotive Group and the Walser Foundation.

Marlene is a participant in the Project Diva International (PDI) program. PDI is a 2024 grantee of the Walser Foundation. This collaboration aims to provide young talents like Marlene with invaluable work experience and a glimpse into the professional world.

A Bright Future Ahead

Currently a high school student at Shakopee Public Schools, Marlene has big dreams for her future. She aspires to attend a Historically Black College or University to pursue a career in either the medical or business field. Her dedication and ambition are truly inspiring, and we are honored to be a part of her journey.

Outside of work, Marlene has a range of creative interests. She enjoys creating content, videography, painting, and constantly seeking out new learning opportunities. Her diverse talents and eagerness to explore new horizons make her a standout member of our team.

The Walser Foundation is dedicated to increasing access to high-quality education and career-training programs in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro and Wichita, Kansas communities.
