2026 Hyundai Palisade
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is here and they’re turning heads. Its new boxy, sleek silhouette paired with stacked vertical LED headlights and taillights. It’s not just about looks, though; it’s about safety. Featuring a built-in dash cam system and a new center airbag between front occupants, you can ensure every mile is driven with confidence. The new Palisade is spacious, lavish, and bold.
What’s New?
In addition to the Palisade’s exterior cosmetic overhaul, the 2026 model year is about 2.5 inches longer overall and has a wheelbase that is 2.7 inches longer than its predecessor. This means more room in the cabin and a max cargo space of ~86.4 cu ft.
Hyundai has opted for a 3.5L V6 under the hood, which boasts slightly less horsepower (291hp vs 287hp) and lb ft of torque (262 lb ft of torque vs 260 lb ft of torque) than the 2025 model year, but has kept the 8-speed automatic transmission.
With towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. The Palisade remains available in FWD and AWD.
Inside has the dash, steering wheel, touch screen display, and center console have seen significant design changes, the shifter has been relocated to the steering column, all reminiscent of the modern Santa Fe model. The crossover SUV implements acoustic enhancements as well, incorporating sound-insulating tires, music-dampening construction, and acoustic glass to keep your ride pleasant.
Tech and Convenience
The 2026 Palisade is meant to save you time. With Apple Car Play and Android Auto built in, it’s easy to connect your device and integrate it into your drive. The center console has a wireless charging pad available for driver or passenger use, and you can find USB-C charging ports in all three rows.
Digital Key 2.0 Premium is the height of convenience, allowing you passive entry, remote control functions like starting climate control, and advanced security settings all from your connected smartphone or smartwatch. Standard Over-the-Air software updates are performed automatically, without taking a trip to the dealership. At the pump and parking garage, Hyundai Pay helps you find, reserve, and complete payments all from the vehicle’s touchscreen. Talk about innovation!
Trim Levels
The 2026 Palisade comes in 5 trim levels: The SE, SEL, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy. Each climbs the ladder of convenience and comfort, with the SE as the base with cloth upholstery, basic amenities, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Calligraphy as the top-of-the-line, luxury trim featuring a two-toned leather interior, 21-inch alloy wheels, a premium KRELL sound system, and a rear-seat entertainment system. Between the two extremes, you can find heated and ventilated seating, a sunroof, a surround view camera system, and larger infotainment screens.
Safety Features
What’s more important than looks? Ensuring the safety of you, your passengers, and your cargo. The updated Hyundai SmartSense safety suite is a collection of advanced driver-assistance systems that are constantly looking out for you. Using cameras and sensors, SmartSense monitors your surroundings to prevent collisions and provides warnings with tools such as forward collision and blind-spot collision-avoidance assist. The new Palisade also includes a new center airbag between the driver and passenger, a rear camera washer to keep dirt and grime from compromising visibility, better seatbelt functionality for the second-row seats, and an integrated front and rear dash cam.
