Meet the Walser Fleet Sources Team

Michael joined the Walser fleet team at the beginning of June, 2020. He started in the rental industry back in 1990 at Alamo Rent A Car where he purchased over 150,000 cars annually for locations across the country. In 1998 he began working on the dealer side for AutoNation where he developed a customer base of over 150 independent rental companies and franchises. After 5 years there he opened an office for Walden Fleet in Florida that he ran for 5 years until ultimately incorporating Mile Fleet in 2008 where he sold an average of 50,000 cars annually until he sold the company to United Rentals in 2018. Michael is a huge sports fan that supports the New York Yankees and loves to play golf. He has a wife Cyndi and two grown children in Brandon and Brittany.

With over 40 years in the automotive business, I can honestly say, I thoroughly enjoy my job and the people I work with. I was 18 when I took my first job in a dealership and to this day I still look forward to going to work. Starting my career in the service department then moving into fleet sales some years later made me realize how much I enjoyed helping people. I value the great relationships I have with my customers, I enjoy talking with them and helping them with their vehicle needs. David joined the Walser fleet team in early June, 2020. His career in the auto industry started in 1984 with Alamo Rent A Car. David managed the fleet accounting department for 15 years, processing and accounting for over 150,000 cars annually. In 2017, David returned to the automotive industry as C.F.O. for Mile Fleet. Mile Fleet sales averaged 50,000 cars annually. He has a wife, Tammie, and two grown children, Sarah and Brian, who are both Firefighters/Paramedics for Lehigh Acres, FL and Atlanta, GA, respectively.

Nick joined the Walser fleet team first as a temp in the spring of 2017, then as a full-time employee in June of 2018. He graduated from the University of Saint Thomas in 2014 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and went on to work as a researcher in a lab at the University of Minnesota studying diabetes and metabolic disorder, but as he found his passions pivoting towards music rather than science, he sought a more flexible job to accommodate his touring schedule. He has been with Walser ever since and has found that much of the data management and technology skillset he learned in the lab carries over to the management of Walser fleet’s cloud database. Using this system, he tracks vehicles from order to invoice to delivery and also works with David Goldstein to help verify accounting procedures. He is the point of contact for customers seeking invoicing information and can set up logins for each customer to see their invoices and MSOs as they are entered into the cloud. He is an active bass player and songwriter in numerous groups based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
