Employee Spotlight: Intern to Automotive Sales Manager

Alexandra Spichke: Sales Manager, Walser Chrysler Jeep Dodge

She never thought she’d land in the automotive industry, but Walser Sales Manager Alex Spichke is glad she’s here. Spichke, who was recently promoted to the role at Walser Chrysler Jeep Dodge, originally joined the company through a sales internship. Spichke was first introduced to Walser’s Recruiting team during a job fair.

“I was very impressed by the individuals I met from Walser and was pleasantly surprised when they reached out to me for an interview. I was eager to learn about sales in the car industry… I wanted a career where I had control over my success and sales is a great way to see tangible success and progress,” Spichke said.

Spichke, who graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Business Marketing, says Walser is where she wanted to stay even after graduation thanks to an abundance of support and guidance she received from management during the internship.

“Not only were they all willing to help, but they believed in me and acknowledged my successes. I was excited to see my progress in product knowledge and customer service skills translate to my sales numbers,” Spichke said.

As Spichke looks to now guide a team of her own, she says she’s leaning on the mentorship she received and a philosophy to lead by example and with honesty.

“Going into my internship, I never thought it would be long-term, but there is an immense opportunity for growth and financial success that can be achieved with dedication and hard work. I think many women are unaware of the opportunity available in automotive.”
