Employee Spotlight: Service Advising at Walser Reconditioning Center

For the uninitiated, Walser’s Reconditioning Center can appear overwhelming. Expansive, noisy, busy. The 80,000 square foot facility, located in Eagan, Minn., formerly served as a crane reconditioning center. For Service Advisor Andrew Hedensten, that frenetic pace is the regular rhythm to his day.

Hedensten, who’s been with Walser Automotive Group since 2006, likens his daily duties to that of an air traffic controller—constantly monitoring and updating stores on the reconditioning status of dozens of vehicles every day. In short, he moves the metal and knows the world of used vehicles well. Even though Hedensten’s interfacing primarily happens with a computer instead of with customers, he lives the role of a traditional service advisor with deep attention to detail and care for the job. Hedensten said the atmosphere of the reconditioning center and the people around him feel like a second family.
