Best Friends Fur-Ever: Make a Dog’s Day at Walser Subaru

It’s that time of year again, time to make a dog’s day at Walser Subaru in Burnsville and St. Paul! As part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, and in partnership with local shelters Warrior Dog Rescue and Animal Ark, we brought tail-wagging fun to our four-legged and two-legged friends alike.

A Paw-sitively Perfect Day at Walser Subaru Burnsville

On the sunny afternoon of Saturday, October 11, the community turned out at Walser Subaru Burnsville for an adoption event in collaboration with Warrior Dog Rescue and an array of activities for current pet owners to participate in. While most of the adoptable puppies were in the mood to sleep and snuggle into the hearts of their potential pet parents, others were curious and determined to give wet-nosed kisses to everyone in the building. Adoption fees were generously waived for the first ten adoptions of the day. Attendees had the opportunity to snap a pic with their pooch at the photo booth, have a custom caricature drawn, have their pup create a unique lick-painting, and to end their visit with a gourmet dog treat. Goodie bags were handed out, which included a portable bowl for food and water, and a much-appreciated lint and hair removal tool.

Lunch was brought in by the Vikings Table food truck, serving Midwest favorites with a twist, such as their cheese curd burger and skol chips. Just a little something for the humans!

With plenty of smiles as precious pups and their owners made new friends and connections, the event was a success.

Let’s Raise the Woof at Walser Subaru St. Paul!

If you missed out this past Saturday, mark your calendar! Make a Dog’s Day is coming to Walser Subaru’s St. Paul location on Saturday, October 25th from 10am to 1pm. The event is free of charge, but donations of items such as pet food and cleaning supplies are appreciated and encouraged. Stop in to socialize with and adopt from Animal Ark, or bring your furry friend for toys, treats, and exciting activities including raffle baskets and delicious bites from Dominick’s food truck. There will also be special appearances from our local partners Chuck & Don’s in Hastings and Rio Gran Boarding, Daycare, and Training Academy.

Show up and show out for our annual celebration of Make a Dog’s Day. You’re sure to have a ball!
