The Walser NextGen Internship Program

At Walser, we’re all about investing in the next generation. Our 2024 Walser NextGen Internship Program is designed to do just that—provide hands-on experience and meaningful mentorship to young, bright minds ready to make their mark in the world.

Walser’s summer internships go beyond coffee runs and making copies.

We partner with impactful community organizations to create an internship program that truly makes a difference. By collaborating with community partners and existing Walser Foundation grantees, we ensure that each intern gets the attention and support they need to succeed—whether it’s exploring a career in the automotive industry or preparing for college.

Fostering Community Connections

We know that building a strong community starts with supporting its future leaders. That’s why we’re partnering with organizations like Urban League Twin Cities, Project Diva, International, and Wallin Education Partners.

ULTC’s Black Gems Program

The Black Gems program is a progressive initiative by the Urban League Twin Cities. The Black Gems program guides high school students from grades 9-12 as they navigate the big leap from teenager to adulthood.

The Black Gems program also offers an annual spring tour of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) and Civil Rights monuments. Since forming its partnership in 2022, the Walser Foundation has committed to covering a portion of the travel expenses for all participants through grant funding.

“We believe in connecting with talented individuals as early as possible, and we’re excited to start building relationships with these future leaders today,” said Sherry Schultz, Chief Human Resources Officer, Walser Automotive Group.

Project Diva International

Project Diva International is focused on helping young women find their voice and gain confidence through education and mentorship. Walser’s support of this mission ensures dynamic, driven young women are equipped with the skills and opportunities to achieve their dreams.

Wallin Education Partners

Partnering with Wallin Education Partners aligns with our mission to empower students in their pursuit of academic success. Wallin provides scholarships and vital support to students who need that extra boost to reach their college and career goals. Together, we’re opening doors for talented students who might otherwise be overlooked, ensuring they have the resources to thrive in whichever path they choose.
